It is composed of capillary fibers with funnel-like pores, whose diameter is larger on the outside than inside.
This kind of structure makes filtration more efficient.
Unlike in case of RO membranes, there is no problem here with water discharged to the sewage system. 100% of water shall be filtered.
Due to its masterful craftsmanship, our membrane retains solid contaminants such as rust, sand, silt and suspensions as well as most of bacteria and some viruses with a diameter greater than 0.02 micrometer.
NOTE!
UF membranes do not remove organic substances or ions from water, so TDS result will not change.

Contaminated water flows through pores which can be found in capillars. Sediments which can be found in it are intercepted by micropores whose external diameter exceeds internal one. Large particles are intercepted close to the surface, while smaller ones – in deeper layers.
This is what increases the effective surface area, filtration performance and cartridge’s service-life.
